Welcome

The CPIT is a pension fund established in 1970 in Geneva by conference interpreters and translators, who were members of the International Association of Conference Translators (AITC) or the International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC).

The CPIT’s purpose is to enable freelance translators, interpreters and members of related professions to obtain social security coverage (retirement, disability and lump-sum death benefits). Translators and interpreters who are officials of intergovernmental international organizations are also eligible to join

It is a foundation in Swiss law and is managed by a foudation council made up of at least five members.

The Foundation Council delegates all administrative, accounting and secretarial tasks to Swiss Life Pension Services SA, a firm specialized in pension fund management. The CPIT’s portfolio is managed by two specialized Swiss asset management institutions (Pictet et Fondation IST), under the supervision of the Foundation Council.
